If you see us on campus, come say hi!
You’ll see me at plenty of our training sessions and socials! I came to uni as a runner but picked up swimming and cycling in my first year - and I’ve loved it ever since. I’m really grateful to everyone who made the club so welcoming and beginner-friendly, and I want to be that same friendly face for anyone new joining the club.
Hey guys! I'm Giacomo, your Triathlon Captain and I'll be in charge of planning the training sessions and organising the races !
As per the WUCT trend, I'm an ex-runner, who, following an injury decided to go for triathlon, something that I don't regret in the slightest. After a year of really enjoying WUCT's training and social calendar (being the sober club fiend is always a joy) I'm exited to be part of that process and hope to share my expertise. Can't wait to see many of you there :)
I joined WUCT with the intention of mainly doing the rides but the welcoming community quickly convinced me to start running and eventually swimming (a bit) as well. Some highlights so far for me have been hill climb and the 24hr triathlon ride to Clarkson’s farm.
I’m looking forward to meeting new faces next year and leading the Saturday and Wednesday rides as well as getting as many people as possible competing in BUCS events.
I first joined WUCT as a cross training runner but loved the training, welcoming atmosphere and supportive members. I had so much fun competing in my first triathlons as part of the club. I hope to be a welcoming face for all newcomers.
I joined WUCT as a runner in my second year with no experience in cycling, but cycling quickly became my main sport. Some highlights so far have been standard tri and attending circles.
I'm thankful to those who helped me gain the confidence to attend group rides, and I hope to pass it on and encourage more girls to get into cycling with us.
